1)
Avoid "white" foods - products made with white sugar
and white flour. These types of refined carbohydrates
contain very little nutrients and have an inflammatory action
on the body.
2)
Eat more foods that contain Omega 3. Omega 3 is a substance
that has an anti-inflammatory action on the body and reduces
pain and muscle tension. Foods that contain Omega 3
are wild salmon (not farmed), wild tuna, sardines and grass
fed meats. Flax seeds and flax seed oil contain a substance
that converts to Omega 3 but this is not always very absorbable
in the body.
3)
Drink plenty of water. Dehydration is a direct
cause of muscle tension and pain. Try to cut back on
caffeine and alcohol as these are dehydrating.
4)
Get massage on a regular basis. Use an electronic
massager in between appointments to reduce muscle tension.
5)
Make sure you are getting enough magenesium in your diet.
A deficiency of magnesium can cause muscle tension.
Foods that contain magnesium are dark green leafy vegetables
such as spinach and swiss chard, avocados, whole gains, and
nuts.
6)
Do stretching or yoga on a regular basis. If you cannot
remember to get Stretching
Software. This software will remind you to stretch
and contains 14 stretching routines.
7)
Make sure you have a really high quality mattress.
8)
Drink fresh vegetables juices. Muscle pain can sometimes
be caused by too many toxins in the body and fresh vegetable
juices are very cleansing and detoxifying.
9)
Don't sit cross legged and be conscious of how you stand,
not putting all of your weight on one foot, as these can cause
lower back pain.
